Ein Woche..One Week

As thoughts stream through my head, I realize that the countdown is official.  Friends, friends of friends, and others I've just met are asking me when I leave.  I can now say that in one week I will leave.  While we don't technically leave the states in one week, I do leave my children, and that's just the same as leaving the country.  I think it hasn't quite hit me yet: The impact of being away from my kids for four straight weeks.  I've never been away from them for even a few days.  And while on the outside I'm ecstatic for the opportunity to travel to Europe, I'm equally as nervous about my emotions.

The itinerary as it stands now:
Berlin, Munich, Venice, Rome, Castiglia, Bern, Strasbourg, Dusseldorf

My kids are terribly disappointed that Paris is not included in this list.  But, I have to think of this as a jumping off point.  A time to graze the countries and get a smidgen of a taste.  Then, I can go back and explore the countries one by one - some day.

This is the list I typed up in about 1 minute...my mind is racing:
